Spring Riot 2025: 6 Choreographers Join Cloud Gate Dancers in a Cross-Cultural Celebration of Movement

Cloud Gate’s annual choreographic platform, Spring Riot, returns to Cloud Gate Theater in Tamsui this weekend, bringing together six choreographers and twenty Cloud Gate dancers in a vibrant exchange of artistic voices. This year’s featured artists are Baru MADILJIN, Dance Director of Tjimur Dance Theatre; Wu-kang CHEN, Artistic Director of HORSE; Sunny YANG, Artistic Director of Les Petites Choses Production; Hiroaki Umeda, a leading figure in dance and digital art from Japan; and the Taiwanese-Hungarian duo Chen-Wei LEE and Vakulya Zoltán of LEE\VAKULYA. During the rehearsal preview, the choreographers shared selected excerpts and insights into their creative processes.

In parallel, Spring Riot 2025 continues its Work In Progress program, featuring in-studio showings by LIN Pin-shuo and LAI Wei-chun, offering audiences a rare glimpse into the evolution of choreographic ideas.
