Founded by LIN Hwai-min in 1973, the Cloud Gate Dance Theatre of Taiwan seeks a dialogue with the society through continuous creation of outstanding dance works. In addition to performances on the world stage, Cloud Gate travels deep into rural towns and villages in Taiwan, bringing joy to the audience while winning high acclaim worldwide.

The Cloud Gate Theater in Tamsui opened in 2015, and has since become a cultural platform for creation, performance, and idea exchanges across different fields. The Theater has furthermore become a destination for the local and international communities to enjoy its scenic environment and cultural activities.

Cloud Gate has been a forerunner in the arts and culture, also being the only theater space in Taiwan operated by a performing arts company and foundation. Our achievements can only be sustainable with generous givings by avid supporters. The Theater was built on these foundations, and we seek to thrive with your generosity.
