The Wanderers Project

Our founder, Hwai-min Lin, donated the money he received from his National Cultural Award, the highest honor given by the Taiwan Government to artists and writers, to the Cloud Gate Culture and Arts Foundation to start the “Wanderer Project”. The project assists selected artists and human rights defenders to travel solo and frugal to various parts of Asia. Having a chance to view Taiwan from an outside perspective allows the awardees to broaden their horizon, and be armed with a stronger faith as they move on with their own journey in life. There have already been over one hundred awarded Wanderers from this project, who are thriving and shining in their own fields of expertise. Patrons of the project will be invited to attend the annual sharing session of the Wanderers.

The Art Makers Project
