There has to be a play or a movie that grants us the courage and laughter at certain points in life, transforming what seemed like a setback back then into nourishment for growth later on after tear streaks were wiped away. It allows attacks in life to instill wisdom in the softest spot of our hearts. Music that establishes moods, builds atmosphere, and creates tension of plots has a mystical power of nurturing our souls, enabling us to relive memorable moments in life. The repertoire includes a selection of classic theme music from Kagemusha (directed by Akira Kurosawa), Despicable Me, The Greatest Showman, and Your Name (a Japanese anime), among others, and intends to bring you back in time to your very first touching encounter with these movies.

We've been waiting for you for so long! We are inviting everyone to attend the Golden Lawn Music Party and enjoy the autumnal tints of Tamsui! 

Since 2019, the Cloud Gate Theater regularly plans Golden Lawn Music Parties with the Art Forum for Confluence. This year, we again invited YANG Yuen-suo, a Taiwanese clarinetist currently residing in the US, to act as the curator for the 2020 outdoor concert series. From September to October, we will be presenting to you three spectacular performances of wind ensembles, with a surprisingly diverse repertoire ranging from Tchaikovsky to J-Pop girl band AKB48, with which family members of all generations can surely resonate.
