Cloud Gate Theater Marks 10th Anniversary with International Lineup

Starting in September 2025, Cloud Gate Theater continues its 10th anniversary celebration with a dynamic lineup of performances and creative residencies. Highlights include the French music-comedy ZZAJ-The Spectacle by Duo des Cimes, a research residency by Japanese choreographer Ayano Yokoyama, and a new immersive music-theater work, 5-6-7-8 Nights for Families, featuring young performers from the Cloud Gate Dance School.

Earlier this year, Artistic Director CHENG Tsung-lung brought his work Sounding Light back to Cloud Gate Theater for seven nearly sold-out shows as part of 2025 Taiwan Week, drawing close to 50 curators and critics from 22 countries and sparking a wave of international touring invitations.

In June, Spring Riot brought together choreographers from Taiwan, Japan, and Europe to create five works with Cloud Gate dancers—marking the anniversary with vibrant cross-cultural exchange.

On September 20–21, ZZAJ-The Spectacle takes the stage with its absurdist humor and live jazz. Since debuting at the Festival OFF Avignon in 2021, it has toured across France to over 10,000 audience members.

In December, 5-6-7-8 Nights for Families blends music, dance, and storytelling in a work inspired by Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade, featuring young dancers from Cloud Gate Dance School alongside professional artists.
