CHENG Tsung-lung listed as one of the 50 contemporary choreographers

CHENG Tsung-Lung, Cloud Gate’s Artistic Director since 2020, is listed as one of the “50 Contemporary Choreographers” in the 3rd edition of this dance guide recently published by Routledge, along with William Forsythe, Akram Khan, Wayne McGregor, Crystal Pite, Hofesh Shechter, Sasha Waltz, etc.

Born in 1976, CHENG is not only credited as one of the most active choreographers in Taiwan. His fluid styles of dance creation rooted in Taiwanese local cultural and folk religious elements also single him out as one of the most inspiring choreographers.
