Dancing with Cloud Gate

Cathay Financial Holdings has been supporting Cloud Gate’s out-reach program “Dancing with Cloud Gate” to deliver world-class performances to schools and communities with more than 200,000 audiences for 23 years since 2001.

Curated by Cloud Gate’s Artistic Director CHENG Tsung-lung, this program engages local people to interact with professional dancers in public space, wiping out the boundary between performers and viewers, and sharing the joy of dance.

Dear friends, this time, Cloud Gate is not far out there in theaters, but right up here in your neighborhoods!

Living with You, Dancing with Us

With the support of Cathay Financial Holdings, Cloud Gate dances into local communities, bridging the distance between performers and audiences.

In the past years, Cloud Gate dancers took the opportunities to spent time with locals while touring. From a ceramicist, they discovered the similarity between pottery making and dancing; from a chef, they learned how to cook comfort food for both their body and soul; and by teaching dance to young kids, they were also heartily inspired. In these videos, you will find that beauty is not only unfolded on stage but lived through the hard work of local people.
