Since 1996, with the warm support of Cathay Financial Holdings, Cloud Gate Dance Theatre of Taiwan has brought dance to towns and cities all over Taiwan, inviting people to come together under the open sky and share unforgettable moments. Over nearly 31 years, 74 outdoor performances have welcomed more than 2.70 million people, becoming a treasured memory for families and friends. Called “the world’s largest outdoor dance event” by international media, the Cloud Gate Outdoor Performance continues to bring art closer to life and connect communities across generations.

Dance emerges not merely as a visual art but as a culture of listening — a work in which sound becomes a crucial gateway to sensing the world and one’s inner rhythms.

THE NEWS LENS

Sound is an invisible dancer around us—always present, always in motion.

In ALL EARS, choreographer CHENG Tsung-lung brings sound to life through movement. Everyday sounds— both familiar and unfamiliar—connect deeply with the dancers, turning each moment into an experience that is felt, not just heard.

Through a blend of immersive soundscapes, each sound becomes tangible, deeply influencing both atmosphere and movement. Sharp lasers, lighting, and texturized costumes further enhance this sensory environment, inviting the audience to experience listening as a form of expression.

ALL EARS is a theatre of listening, where dance is not only seen, but deeply heard and felt.
