Hitting the Stage at Cloud Gate Theater

Come spring, summer and autumn, Cloud Gate Theater in Tamsui stages lawn parties hosting arts & craft markets, puppetry, circus, dance workshops, and pop-up performances around the pockets of its premises. Since 2021, the Lawn Party at Cloud Gate has been a darling of locals and Taipei-ers looking for chill vibes on a sunny weekend away from city center.

Cloud Gate Theater is a beautiful getaway just minutes from the main road. It is home to the Taiwan's beloved dance company, Cloud Gate Dance Theatre of Taiwan. Since its opening in 2015, not only is it training quarters for the company, Cloud Gate Theater boasts a stage equivalent to National Theater in an intimate 400-seater that produces and collaborates with artists to bring theater, dance, circus, music, children's shows and workshops all year round. Overlooking the ocean and glorious sunsets, it's a scenic spot to soak in nature and arts. This July, a 10-day dance bootcamp with star-studded lineup from Cloud Gate company and hip hop dancers in Taiwan will be hitting the stage. More details to come!
