DANCE EXPRESS, a hybrid event curated and launched this fall by Cloud Gate

Combined with Cloud Gate’s long-time experience in dancing, theater techniques, and education/community outreach programs, Cloud Gate curated a new interactive demonstration show DANCE EXPRESS and will launch it from September to November at the Cloud Gate Theater, as part of the 2021 Cathay Arts Festival.  

DANCE EXPRESS embarks visitors on a journey through dancers’ demonstrations of the dance history, daily training, excerpts of the company’s sought-after works, such as LIN Hwai-min’s Moon Water, and White Water as well as CHENG Tsung-lung’s 13 Tongues. Meanwhile, visitors will also be immersed in the atmosphere of the universe and the sea by an intriguing lighting show. If a show is not enough, a 1-hour Movement Class at the studio can also be registered, offering visitors to be 1-day Cloud Gate dancers through a dialogue with the body and the mind.
