Artist-in-Residence Program
Cloud Gate Theater is dedicated to fostering contemporary performing arts creation and transnational cultural exchange. In 2025, Cloud Gate Theater officially launched the “Cloud Gate Theater Artist-in-Residence Program,” inviting diverse movement-based artists into residence. Surrounded by an environment where nature and history intertwine, artists embark on several weeks of field research, work-in-progress development, and deep dialogue with local communities.
Resident Artist
The Cloud Gate Residency Program offers artists and teams the time and space needed to deeply explore their topics of interest and advance ongoing projects. A final performance or technical tryout is not the sole objective; instead, the program is flexibly designed around each team's needs, encompassing not just creation, but also research, experimentation, exchange, and outreach. Cloud Gate Theater provides comprehensive support, integrating arts promotion and community dialogue to connect the fruits of the residency with audiences and the local community.
